The Hampton Range
With the Hampton range, Baume and Mercier offer a unique style of timepiece that breaks away from the traditional round case design. Combining straight lines and subtle curves, the Hampton is available for both ladies and gents in three case sizes. Highly polished on all facets, the Hampton case blends effortlessly into the curvature of the lugs giving a seamless transition into the strap or bracelet option on the ladies models.
The Hampton For Ladies
As with all ladies Hampton models, the case measures 35mm x 22mm and just under 7mm thick. The curved sapphire crystal continues the contour of the case between the lugs perfectly. Below which the clean dial resides. Simple elegance is the key to the ladies Hampton, shown through a two-sword hand dial and only the words ‘Baume & Mercier, Geneve’ featuring on the dial. There are a variety of materials and colours available across the five variations, these include opaline silver with Rhodium plated or Gilt riveted indices (10471, 10472) both mounted on a beautiful soft calfskin strap with a signed pin buckle. The 10476 features a stunning satin blue sunburst dial with rhodium-plated indices highlighted by Arabic 6 and 12 markers, and finally the 10474 displays the mother of pearl dial set with two diamonds at 12 & 6 o’clock. Both these models are presented on a highly polished ‘3 in a row’ steel bracelet secured with a tri-folding clasp with discreet security release pushers. The Hampton For Gents
The Hampton range currently extends to three models for men over two case sizes. The 10522 measures 43mm x 27.5 and 10mm thick, with both the 10523 and 10528 having slightly more wrist presence at 48mm x 31mm. Other than the size the cases follow the same design in that as with the ladies models we have a highly polished case on all facets, the winding crown is slightly domed and carries the Phi logo in its centre. The gentle curvature of the case blends into the lugs that then allows the black alligator strap, highlighted with grey stitching, to smoothly continue the curve around the wrist to the tri-folding clasp that is released by depressing the two security pushers. Interchangeability is simplified with a quick-release mechanism that eliminates the need for tools, giving the opportunity to alter the appearance of your Hampton to suit your mood.
The dials of the men’s range are exquisite, to say the least, all three feature an opaline silver dial with a more textured, blasted outer area divided by Rhodium plated indices and Arabic numerals denoting 12 o’clock. The minute track is designated in a deep grey, outlined in black, offering a solid frame to the face. The 10528 enhances practicality while maintaining a clean appearance in offering a date function at 6 o’clock, and just above small seconds dial. For the more demanding user, Baume and Mercier have created the 10523 which boasts a sweeping second hand, double date window, a dual time function and moon phase complication. The polished case back features a circular sapphire crystal that displays the in-house decorated Swiss movement, water-resistant to 5 ATM (approximately 50m).
